Best Photoblog Finalist at the PBA!
Thank you PBA for making Radioactive Puppy a finalist for Best Photoblog in Luzon!
Making it to the finalist pool is such an honor for me already. I was actually late but I came in just in time to see Christian Lucas Sangoyo of Lakad Pilipinas receive the award for the category. Congratulations!

The Anawangin Experience
A lot of travelers have already been captivated by the mystique of the Anawangin Cove in the province of Zambales. A secluded beach with mix of ash and sand from the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in the 90's, foliage of Pine Trees and running fresh water, our recent trip to Anawangin is an experience I will never forget.
The Hike.
We arrived at Brgy. Pundaquit at around 8 o'clock in the morning with dampened spirits as we were welcomed by huge waves brought by South-West monsoon and the storm that has just went out to the West Philippine Sea.
With the huge waves, the bancas will not be able to leave Pundaquit. Our guide suggested that we take a 5 hour hike to Anawangin instead. Since it took us more than 4 hours to get there, we really didn't have any other choice. Me and Ielle had never done anything like this other than strolling in the mall. It was a challenge and left me gasping for air as we reach the peek of the mountain. I almost gave up but I'm happy I didn't because the view was amazing.
Waking up at the Beach
We originally planned to go back this November but I think we won't be able to make it. It was an experience that I will never forget and certainly I will be looking forward to coming back.

The Beach
After 5 and a half hours, we finally hit the beach. I was so tired but when I saw the beach, I told my self... It was all worth it! Below are some of the photos I took and some others from the shoot we did the next morning.

Morning Dew
When I started photography I always resorted to a Macro approach since it only requires very little resources. I took a shot of this leaf using a standard lens and a macro filter in our backyard.

Self Portrait
This is not a case of NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder), I just don't have anyone to model for me lately. :P

Heart Tree: Two Months After
After two months we visit the heart tree again. Original plan was to go to Enchanted Kingdom so I decided to leave my camera behind. I took this shot using an iPhone with some effects applied using PS.
