KFC - Hair in a Bucket Story

My friend Jo has this craving for Kentucky Fred Chicken. Who wouldn't? KFC's crispy, juicy, delicious fried chicken with some mouth watering gravy will make anyone crave for it. KFC's bucket meal has always been an option when we are having lunch after shift. Last week's incident might have mellowed her craving down a bit. March 26 my other friend Jona asked if we can company her to SM Megamall to have her Digicam's battery fixed. Me and Jo agreed and with Lou and Bino we decided to watch How to Train your Dragon after lunch. Lou was suggesting we eat sinigang for lunch but Jo insisted we have a bucket meal. Needless to say KFC wins and so we went there and ordered a bucket meal. Everyone's excited to have some gravy poured over their hot rice while munching over some hot and crispy or original recipe. We were just starting to enjoy our meal when Jona noticed something. There is hair inside the bucket. Not just any ordinary hair, it's short, it's thick and it's curly. It looks like somebody's arm pit hair or somebody's pubes inside the bucket. (photo below)

Somebody might say we're just being overly dramatic over a small piece of hair but you must also put in mind that this piece of hair shouldn't be there together with our food. Eating it can be just like licking an anonymous person's arm pits. To make it simple, it's unhygienic and unethical to serve something like this. Everyone stopped eating upon seeing it and immediately asked for the manager. The manager graciously went to our table and asked what happened. I don't know, but her face was unusually relaxed upon seeing the hair inside the bucket. The reaction on her face is sorta like saying "sus ang OA naman para buhok lang". The manager then took the bucket inside. We don't really know what happened but she went back after a few minutes with the same bucket on her hands but this time without the hair inside it. Then these amazing words came out of her mouth: "Sa plastik naman po dumikit hindi sa chicken." There was an obvious irritated reaction on all of us then followed by Jona saying: "E
xcuse me that's human hair!". We decided to just get a refund and went out.

This story aims not to tag any negative reactions or connotations to KFC or their food, crew or branches. I wrote this to ask people to kindly inspect first what you ordered before eating it. Yes we'd still be eating KFC but it might be taking a while before we come back to the Megamall Branch.

Hope : Who Am I To Say

Love of my life, my soulmate You're my best friend
Part of me like breathing
Now half of me is left

Don't know anything at all
Who am I to say you love me
I don't know anything at all
And who am I to say you need me

Color me blue I'm lost in you
Don't know why I'm still waiting
Many moons have come and gone
Don't know why I'm still searching

Don't know anything at all
And who am I to say you love me
I don't know anything at all
And who am I to say you need me

Hmmm hmmm mmm
Uhhh oohhh aahhh
Hooo aahhh ohh ohhh

Now you're a song I love to sing
Never thought it feels so free
Now I know what's meant to be
And that's okay with me

But who am I to say you love me
And who am I to say you need me
And who am I to say you love me

Mmmm hmmm

I don't know anything at all
And who am I to say you love me
I don't know anything at all
And who am I to say you need me
I don't know anything at all

I don't know anything at all
I don't know anything at all
I don't know anything at all

Red Pansit

It's like the regular pansit miki but with red noodles. The noodles themselves were infused with Atsuete giving it its distinct Red-orange color. The one from the photo was cooked by me since you can already buy red noodles from the local city market.
