Magalawa Island
I had one of the most memorable weekends when me and my friends visited the Magalawa Island last Saturday. It was an excruciating 5 hour ride from Manila, and a 20 minute tricycle ride of Hell then about 15 minutes on boat. Somehow everything paid off when we hit the beach. I on the other hand have committed one of the biggest blasphemies a photographer can do, not bringing a camera. I thought we were going to stay inside a tent so i decided to just leave my camera at home for safety. Here are some shots I took with my friend Ernest's Nikon.
I rate the whole experience 2.5 out of 5 stars. What I liked about it is the beach is not crowded and it is a good place to relax especially since it's really quiet at night. I can live without the food they serve which is not tasty by the way. The water is very clear during the day but as tides turn later on sea weeds start to take over. I could have given a better score but I always remember the 5 hour bus ride from Caloocan and the tricycle ride from hell. It's not worth it. Bringing your own car can be a better option. Magalawa is not the best beach in the world but what made the experience extra special are the friends I went on the journey with.
